Half way through day one, but still nothing has been decided and all groups are still partly open.

In group A Dignitas decided to stand together as a team and kick the living s*** out of Plan B. After only giving away 3 rounds they suddenly look like a serious contender to the second promotion spot. The first spot has been grabbed by the Germans from mousesports with great ease. This could be the event went, when one of the most powerful teams ever brought together will fulfill its potential.

Group B looked deadly from the beginning with lots of “could be”, “maybe” and “if they hit the day” teams and that is exactly the way the group has turned out. Begrip Sweden who looked like a group winner has let their fans down so far with only one win in two matches. With all due respect to the homeland of Borat, Begrip Sweden wasn’t even able to beat K23 and if you can’t do that, you don’t deserve a spot in the second group play.
Instead of Begrip.se it looks like Begrip.ru will proceed to the next level along side with the biggest surprise of the event so far. Amazing Gaming has been gaming amazingly so far! The local derby between Begrip.ru and Amazing Gaming will be decisive of who will win the group.

In group C we have fnatic and then we have the others. There will be no question about who will win the group. They are superior once again. It appears that emulate and The Doctors will have to battle for the remaining spot and with the support emulate gets down here in France they might have an edge.

Group D also looks pretty dead as Pentagram and Virtus Pro decided to eliminate all opposition so far. Yet another group with Eastern European domination and one must wonder what it is they can do that the rest can’t?.
